This is such sad news. I met Greg at the Reporters Committee in 1999 and have never met anyone like him before or since. Greg was so full of life and curious about the world and people. I have so many great memories of fun times together over the years, from nights out at the Big Hunt to bands at the 930 Club to Thanksgiving and Super Bowl parties at Melissa's. My favorite memories are from my visit to Singapore in April 2009, when Greg and Melissa were such generous hosts: birthday dim sum, betting on the ponies, foot reflexology. Will never forget Greg's smile, warmth, and friendship, and my thoughts are with Melissa and Benjamin. - Byron
