My Neighbor

Ben,

For over a year, I had the honor and privilege of spending just about every day with your father; he was my neighbor when we worked together at MCI (the old phone company).

Your father was ALWAYS there for me whenever I had a question or any drama going on in my life, which was every day. He was a great listener who was always happy to impart his wisdom to me. This extended to every subject imaginable, from work questions, to life questions, to “important” fantasy football questions. Every time I left his office, I left smarter and with a smile on my face. He was just so kind and generous. There is no one who met your father who didn’t immediately like him.

Your father made me a better lawyer, but way more importantly, he made me a MUCH better person. Even though I recently fell out of touch with him (just because life got busy for both of us), I am proud to say that your father was my friend.

I remain,
Missing him dearly

(P.S. He would always sign his e-mails to me (and others, I suspect) with some comical saying after “I remain”. In addition to being such a good friend, he was really funny!)

  1. Nick, when reading your wonderful tribute to Greg, it reminded me of all the stories shared and more importantly, the laughs in our days.

He was an original and as such made us originals too.

Missing his spirit and that he brought so many of us together with stories funny and joyful!

    Holley
